Weighing 3365g (7lbs 6oz) and 51cm long.

Even more teatowels!

I just received these back from printing (that very morning) on Tuesday – and will package them and add them to the site this weekend.

So if cocktails are your thing (and honestly, if I wasn’t so pregnant they’d be my thing right now) you’ve even got a choice of black or red!

I’m loving the red actually, can see it in my kitchen…

 

More new teatowels

And another photoshoot for the website!

My black and white versions of my first two teatowel designs have arrived and are packed up ready to sell, and the cocktails design will be here on Tuesday.

I can't tell you how close the new site is now, and I'm spending hours now inputting new products. Unfortunately some glitch means that I have to re-input about 180 Golden paint products so that the shipping options appear - but the rest of the site seems to be working, so stay tuned for the launch!

And only 11 days to go til the new baby too. I'm thinking that wearing a teatowel on my front may be the best look I can achieve at the moment. This tummy is HUGE! Looking forward to meeting this new little girl. She's got a lot to live up to with her lovely big sister.

Is this nesting?

Well the washing's on the line, the beds are made with fresh sheets, I'm defrosting mince for dinner and I'm working through my to do list... it must be nesting.
While I'm also planning to give birth in oh, 17 days, I've been packaging up my new black and white batches of teatowels, ready to add to my new site, and I had this completely new idea for an organisation system for the sheets in my linen press, so I've done some screenprinting and will be sewing up samples for that tonight.
Sleeping is getting very uncomfortable, but so many other things are falling into place.
I'm looking forward to announcing the new site is live, just before I head off to the hospital!
Two births at once really. Perfect.

Teatowels on the brain

I'm still excited that my first batch of teatowels are finally printed (and the second batch should arrive tomorrow) that when I came across this wonderful idea for upholstering in vintage teatowels it really tickled my fancy. I love it when creative people have an idea and figure out how to follow it through!

I love home grown cherry tomatoes

I planted 8 cherry tomato seedlings about 6 weeks ago and now they're growing taller than the house!
I have NEVER successfully grown anything before (I forget to water things - apparently that's a problem), but these have taken off and are fruiting so madly that every meal includes cherry tomatoes in some form at the moment.
I've been making some fabulous tarts with caramelised onion, cherry tomatoes and olives, and I did a Donna Hay chicken meal that I'll definitely photograph next time because, my God, it was just delicious, and really easy.
So there's my boast for today. I can grow something.
Now, back to sewing labels on teatowels, ready for packaging.

My Teatowels are here!

I feel like I've been talking about it for absolutely years, but finally my first batch of screenprinted teatowels have arrived!

They're hand printed on 100% natural linen teatowels measuring 50 x 70cm (nice and big) and I'm really happy with how they turned out. The lovely Thea from Thea & Sami printed them and professionally heatset them for me.

One design is 'In Bloom' printed in spring green, and the other is 'Coffee and Cake' printed in a special lilac. They'll sell for $20 each + postage.

I'm finalising packaging now, while I add to my www.shinyhappyart.com website which is so close to going live.

So it's all systems go now! It's going to be a busy week.
